The Africa Bitcoin Mining Summit is an initiative of GAMA. Each year a member company hosts mining and energy professionals in their country for a workshop and panel discussions covering ASIC hardware, the regulatory landscape and the future of Bitcoin mining in Africa.

    Founder member of the Green Africa Mining Alliance (GAMA), focused on sustainable energy and social responsibility in Zambia from their Lusaka base.
  2. NRG Bloom
    Carbon-negative Bitcoin miner addressing methane emissions and electrifying grid-poor households in rural Nigeria.
  3. QRB Labs
    Founder member of GAMA and geo-agnostic Bitcoin mining and AI data center service provider based in Addis Abeba and co-locating with Ethiopian Electric Power (EEP) substations in the Ethiopian countryside.
  4. Trojan Mining
    Nigeria’s 1st Bitcoin mining farm and GAMA founder member, focused on converting Nigeria’s stranded HEP into economic prosperity and an expanded energy infrastructure for the adjacent rural communities.
  5. BigBlock Data Center
    Buys surplus electricity from Virunga National Park’s hydro plants, income from which park access roads get maintained, water pumps installed and power extended, both within the park and in greater rural DRC. Also a founder member of GAMA.

    Converting a wasted energy resource – flared gas – into clean energy for Bitcoin mining and AI data-centers, in the process economically empowering adjacent communities in Delta State, Nigeria.
  7. Gridless Compute
    Designs, builds and operates modular Bitcoin mining data centers sprinkled across rural Africa and co-located with renewable stranded energy sites. Another GAMA founder member executing a win-win model that extends electrification into the forgotten corners of Africa.
  8. Paracan Limited
    Bitcoin mining and hosting company setting up in Ethiopia also involved with sale, repair, maintenance and troubleshooting ASICs. Focused on sustainable growth and renewable energy infrastructure in digital asset and high-performance compute infrastructure.
  9. Bitcity
    Data center company with ~50MW capacity in Ethiopia awaiting to deploy 19MW of Bitcoin miners soon. Also involved with mining, ASIC manufacture and data center operations.
